So I’ve started DM’ing a home game for some friends of mine and I’m wanting some custom items to sprinkle into their adventures. One is an Indiana Jones inspired Tempest Cleric, the other is a Wild Shaping Druid who’s goal is to not use the same shape twice in a row. Here’s what I’ve got so far:
Wilding Clasp (requires attunement to what it’s attached to): This ornate ring can be attached to any staff or rod. Doing so allows a Druid in Wildshape to still have access to its abilities, applying any applicable effects to its Natural Attacks. (This is horribly worded, not sure how to clean it up.)
Slaver’s Whip: As part of a melee attack 3/day the target is effected as if it had failed its saving throw against Bane. This effect lasts until the end of its next turn. (Again, horribly worded. I’m toying with whether to have it be Bane, or like the EK’s ability).
I also have ideas I’m tossing around for a Whip of Thunder and Lightning pulled off that Staff of the same name. Or a whip with charges that’ll cast specific spells on melee attack. I like both.
