My party is in the middle of a battle where I think it's pretty probable that someone will die. No one in the party has revivify, so the only hopes for such a character will be finding some NPC to cast one of the 10-day spells (Raise Dead or Reincarnate). Because we play pretty infrequently, I don't want a player to have to sit out half a session or more if they'd rather not do so, so I want to build up some NPCs for use in such a circumstance - specifically ones tied to a little mini-mission to get access to a Druid who can cast Reincarnate.
Most of my players are long-time D&D players who are not yet super familiar with 5e beyond the class they're already playing.
What I'm looking for in the builds are characters who would be fun to play, but not so hard to learn to play that it's a hassle (i.e. no one wants to learn a deck of Wizard spells to play for one session). For a similar reason I don't want to hassle the player with generating a character on the fly.
My general idea was to create two and let them pick on the fly. Because of the setting, I wanted them to be Grung but some other race could work too (Human especially). They'd start at level 7.
So, what do you think - what kinds of quick built froggies should I offer up?
(If you have a better idea than what I'm proposing, feel free to suggest that instead.)
