I am currently making a homebrew campaign and there is one thing I need help balancing. As context I created damage variants in which there are currently two for fire, these being the frenzied flame and blackflame, both coming from elden ring. The players would need a seal to use these different fire types. The way I want them to work is that blackflame would still do the same damage as a standard spell but it's damage would be dealt over time and the seal would prepare some actual spells. The frenzied flame however is the one I'm most unsure of when it comes to balancing it, I want it to be that some damage would be sacrificed for a stunning effect (how long it lasts would depend on level) and if the player uses it too much they would lose some hit points and be stunned. If you can help that'd be greatly appreciated.
