CoS Spoilers: How do I increase the significance of finding the Tomb of Strahd?

Post Body

I understand the lore importance of the Tomb and how it hints towards some weaknesses, but I know My players and that won’t interest them too much.

They are about to find the Holy Symbol and it is going to be a campaign defining moment, as I’m sure the Sunsword will be. I want the Tomb to be the same.

My original thought was to include some spells as if it was his spell book too, but no character can make use of a spell book. Another thought was it would just give them a free level.

Any suggestions would help me decide on how to move forward.

Edit: Party Makeup: Thief, Zealot, Cleric of life, all level 3

I read the description of the product and it seems to be a whole other adventure? Seems like a one/two shot session would be good for like “it’s a wonderful life” kind of thing

Just edited the post to include party makeup. I do like the idea of the book containing something, maybe it could be a portal to scry on strahd with? My gears are turning haha
