Basically I've just turned 40 and in my early 20's I was a bedroom dj with vinyl and Technic 1210's. I actually still have 2 boxes of records. I now have a 12 year old son and I was thinking of taking it up again and seeing if my son can get into it.

Obviously times have moved forward and vinyl appears no longer the preferred media. I'm ashamed to say that's where my knowledge now stops. I'm guessing it's CD and MP3 now? I have no idea what to look for to be honest in terms of equipment. I've just seen a second hand Gemini CDM 3610 twin CD deck second hand for £60. I'm guessing this is pretty old? It seems very cheap to be honest. Would this be ok to start with or is it pointless?
