Hi guys,
I’m currently fully renovating a house that I have bought with my partner and am carrying out 1st fix electrics with my dad who is qualified.
I have used WiFi mesh kits in the past I.e Linksys but have still been disappointed with the range as these router nodules need to be quite close to each to get signal.
We have 14 steels in total and know WiFi reception may be affected. What is the best way to hardwire nodules across the house? Can I buy kits? If not, what would I need?
Also, for hard wire Ethernet ports I.e in the office, how would these be connected? Would it be a long Ethernet like cable running to wherever we decide to place our main router from provider?
Thanks!!
Edit: Thank you for all of your replies I have and am still learning so much- please do still engage with this post if you have any more tips. I have been trying to research this for quite a while and am kicking myself as to why I didn’t post on Reddit. Clearly was googling the wrong key words and never received any answers!!
Also very glad that others are finding answers too.
If you have any specific recommendations please do advise. We will be completing 1st fix electrics in the next two weeks and will install wiring for this once that has been done. Just need to work out where our router can be fitted and then where to run all the wires from/to.
