Curtain rod stuck to curtain rod holder

Hello! I’ve recently moved into a new place and really want to change the curtains. However, the curtain rod seems to be stuck to the rod holder fixtures (of which there are three). I spend some time gently yanking but rod wouldn’t budge. Does anyone know how I can take out the rod without significant damage?

The pink arrow points to where the rod seems to be stuck. Sorry if this is a stupid question, I have only seen the thick white IKEA stickers used to attach rod and rod holders, and I can’t see any sticker here. I think they may have used some type of strong glue?
