Cover up an Artex ceiling?
Post Body

I live in a 1930s ex-council house with dimpled ceilings throughout.

The smallest room in the house is my office and I'm currently redecorating it. I'd love to get rid of the artex ceilings but for various reasons I don't want to get someone in to skim it, and I don't want to do anything particularly dirty or dusty in the room (ideally I don't want to move my computer and library out).

Is there some kind of panelling I could put up on the ceiling over the top of the artex? I've tried searching but all I can come up with is office ceiling tiles which isn't really the look I'm going for.

I'm honestly at the point of just adding some shiplap panelling or something - is this a terrible idea?
