Measurement question. It's a window. Want to be sure I understand it.
Post Body

The window is 17 ¾" . The unit I'm looking at says assembled product dimensions 13.27x15.98x13.27. Window opening and height chart on the website says fits windows 23'' to 36''. I'm assuming that's with the side skirts.
So as long as I find a unit with the length less than 17 ¾" and the window opens to at least 13 ½" that particular unit should fit?
We've been using a portable ac unit. This one is a decade old and is on its way out. We had a whynter portable one when we were at the apartment but that sucker leaked bad so I'm afraid to go the portable route again. This one has a different way it drains than the wynter one did. I guess I'm just skeptical of the "newer style.
