You guys post such beautiful pieces and your work is so pristine that I don’t even wanna post pictures of the bucket of spaghetti that is the wiring of this amp.
I will say that it’s surprisingly quiet after I discovered that ground loops are are a thing.
This was done one an almost non-existent budget.
It’s an old Silvertone reel to reel that is sporting a 6X4 rectifier, a 6aq5 power tube, and 12ax7 preamplifier as well as what I think is a 5x3 speaker.
Its based mostly off of Rob Robinettes 5F1 champ schematic with some BlackFace notes. It has sort of a lofi sound which was not intended, but is welcomed.
My aim is to play at coffee shops, but for now it’s been a terrific apartment amplifier.
Out of site is a boss rc3 looper, a danelectro flanger, a danelector distortion, and a duo sonic. At some point I’d like to get ahold of a fender chorus pedal.
I really want that fender bf shimmer, but I’m not sure how to get it on a budget.
