Having trouble cutting through steel barrel - need advice.

Post Body

Hi /r/DIY, I'm following this tutorial to build a Smokeless Burn Barrel.

The tutorial video makes it look easy to slice through a steel barrel using an angle grinder. However, I am not having the same luck as him. This is my first project using an angle grinder, cutting metal, or using a power tool other than a drill driver. So I would appreciate any advice on what I should be doing and where I can go to learn more.

Here is a video of me trying to cut through my steel barrel: Video. As you can see, I grind on a single spot for more than 30 seconds and don't make it through. By contrast, the tutorial I'm following seems to have no similar difficulty.

I'm grinding with a DeWalt 20V (DCG412, 7-8,000 RPM). I've tried using two types of grinding/cutting disks: DW4541 (came with grinder, shown in video) and DW8062B5 (bought separately) with similar results.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me on which tools to use or techniques to adopt, as well as resources so I can understand what I'm doing better.

Edit: We did it, reddit! As many of you noted, I need to use the DW8062B5 cutting disk. I also needed to apply more pressure than what I've been using. Most of the guides I read said to use little pressure and let the spinning do the work, but I was probably taking that too far and hardly applying any pressure at all. I tried again with more pressure (but not so much the disk slowed down), and I was able to cut about 9 inches of material in two minutes.
