I've got a detached garage that I'm looking to run an ethernet cable over to. The pictures below show some PVC pipes and a power run that currently provides power to the garage from the house. I was able to run a snake through the PVC completely from one side to the other. The power comes out from the basement of the house and into the garage. I'm hoping to run (shielded) ethernet along the same route.
What is the best way to go about this with the pre-existing PVC/cable that's already run? Can I co-opt the power cable run and fish ethernet through it? Or do I need to somehow route the ethernet into the PVC pipe and secure it properly? Not very familiar with this so I don't even know what kind of questions to consider. Most things I've looked at involve installing a new pipe, and not using a pre-existing one.
Edit: thanks to everyone for your input. I've got it figured out now and will post an update when I get it worked out.
