Can’t find a stud

Post Body

My walls are too thick for a studfinder to work, so I’ve done the usual tricks, I started at the corner of the wall and moved in 16 inch intervals drilling at each point , that did nothing but hit the concrete wall. I found the electrical outlet and marked where the stud should end on either side of it, to no avail. I’m losing my mind and I don’t know what to do Edit: I’m not even sure there is enough space behind the wall for the depth of a 2x4. The sheet rock is quite thick and I can feel the concrete wall just by sticking a nail in the hole.
