I finished my $10 Goodwill find dollhouse thanks to all the help and support I found here in this sub!

Haha I found myself having an over abundance of beads throughout this process so I was like, “well, it could work!”

Yes!!! I’d love to see! And I actually found those at a hobby shop. I just stained them and added the black rings. :)

Let me try to get running water and electricity before you visit, you might want them ;)

Oh wow that’s so cool! Throughout this process I’ve learned so much about miniature artists like the team that built much of the scenes from the LOTR trilogy! So fascinating and intriguing!

Omg ME TOO. Those are way too small for me. This was a much more manageable scale.

[not loaded or deleted]

Good call! Thank you!

[not loaded or deleted]

Thanks for sharing! I have a new artist to add to my obsession!

[not loaded or deleted]

Hahaha if only I could do this IRL and not on a miniature scale.

[not loaded or deleted]

No you’re totally not! I thought about that but after I glued it down I was like, whatever man! Haha

[not loaded or deleted]

Bob Vila!!! Now that’s a throwback I haven’t heard in a while, I loved This Old House as a kid!

[not loaded or deleted]

Haha!! My stepdaughter and I play that and she kept saying that.

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you! I was so bummed when the tub I purchased was ginormous

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you! It really was. I found myself starting and then all of a sudden six hours had passed! I enjoyed every second of it :)

I really hope you and your boys do update it!! It’s such a fun project with tons of learning moments. The tile floor in the kitchen is just scrapbook paper, the flooring in the living room and bedroom is contact paper I ordered off Amazon, and the tile in the bathroom(it’s actually textured to feel like tile) is from a hobby shop but you can order it online too. I would love to see the dollhouse progress if you decide to do it!!

[not loaded or deleted]

Hahaha yes! Someone else noticed. My partner was like, “how ya gonna use those” and I said, “I don’t cook anyway!”

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you so much! I wish I could still have my old dollhouse. It got wrecked in an earthquake :(

[not loaded or deleted]

Omg are you serious!!?? That would be so cool!!!!

[not loaded or deleted]

Yeah I have found most of the miniatures I bought from Etsy and EBay but I’m sure for work like his, legit collectors would be interested.

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you! Waste not want not!

[not loaded or deleted]

Oh man I hope you decide to do it and I hope it brings you as much fun and joy as mine.

[not loaded or deleted]

Haha please do! This whole endeavor has brought me and my mom closer; she made trash into treasures for me when I was little too.

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you so much! It’s been really fun.

[not loaded or deleted]

Hahaha it’s made for me, a person who grew up poor and finds some things to be comforting but wishes I could have a fancy life. Every home I’ve lived in is decorated similarly, very eclectic.

[not loaded or deleted]

Holy shit you’re amazing!

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you so much!

[not loaded or deleted]

Omg that’s amazing! I love the detail you put on the legs!!! Yeah I was thinking I’d do the faucet like the one I did on the kitchen sink.

[not loaded or deleted]

Aw, thank you. That dang tub...so many burned fingers... haha

[not loaded or deleted]
[not loaded or deleted]

To be honest, that sounds about perfect.

[not loaded or deleted]

NO WAAAAY! YOU’RE SO COOL

[not loaded or deleted]

Hahahaha that’s so weird. This one was laid out pretty similarly and I was like, wat why would the kids room be in the attic?! So I made it for a solo female, aka me.

[not loaded or deleted]

Me neither but I drank the koolaid and I love it!

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you!! Me too, haha I wish my actual house looked like this! I’ve had a difficult time finding a doll that is the right size for this goofy scaled house. I’ll probably just put my posable sailor moon in there :P

[not loaded or deleted]

That’s a great question. I have no idea. I haven’t really seen people selling completed dollhouses much, just the furniture pieces they made and such.

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you! My kitten’s name is Kimi and I call her Kimimini and Kimimimi

[not loaded or deleted]

Please do! And send pics!!

[not loaded or deleted]

Yay! Thank you!

[not loaded or deleted]

Hah yes!! I saw a drawer knob and thought that I could make it into a table lamp! Hahaha

[not loaded or deleted]

Yesss!! I love to hear this! I would also love to see pics!

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you! I got the idea from fun_and_craft on YouTube

[not loaded or deleted]

Thank you so much!!

[not loaded or deleted]

Yes!!! It is so awesome to hear that others want to try a new craft!

[not loaded or deleted]

Yesss! I never used it with Barbie, just Skipper. Thank you!

[not loaded or deleted]

Aw this made my heart so happy!!

[not loaded or deleted]

That is hilarious! I wonder how many hits that would get ;)

[not loaded or deleted]

Yay! Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed!
