I am building a guitar from a guitar building kit.
And I have a few questions about paint compatibility.
From various research, youtube videos, etc. I've learned that I need a primer base over the sanded wood.
Once the primer is dried and ready, I would need to spray paint it over a few layers, let dry, draw/paint any patterns I want over that, let cure, then cover the whole body with a clear coat.
My question lies in the paint I should use.
I was thinking of using this paint, the Duplicolor Perfect Match. How do I know what I can use to draw over it?
Can I use an oil based sharpie? Or do I need an acrylic paint pen?
Once the drawing and painting has all cured, does it matter what kind of gloss finish I can use? I've seen/heard the terms 'clear spray paint' and 'acrylic lacquer' used, and I'm honestly a bit confused at what I should be using.
Thank you for any help you can provide. :)
edit: Or if that paint is not-preferred, should I try a different one?
