Hi Reddit! Recently my father has been considering reopening the well out in our forest that was once regularly used by the original owners of the house (We're the third family to have lived here). From what I can tell, the original well wasn't very deep, maybe ~20 ft down, and was basically a large hole in the ground where they scooped the water out. My father wants to drill a little deeper (30-40 ft), install a filter, and figure out a way to get the water to the house, either via a pump or gravity. I could use your help!
