Post Body

We have foundation issues, primarily due to a leak that has been addressed.

In one of our rooms, the wall and baseboard is pulling away from the floor. There is up to a .5" gap in some places. However, it is really only on one side of the room. The gap spans the entire length of the wall, which is about 10'.

I bought some quarter round to fix the gap because it seemed like too much to just caulk. But since the gap is only on one side of the room, now I'm thinking it will look dumb with trim on just this wall. That said, the room is a spare. No one goes in there. Also, we will probably redo the floor in the house once we can be sure the foundation issue is resolved, so this is short term fix.

What would you all do?
