drywall as a furring strip?
Post Body
Could a guy use 1 1/4" of drywall as furring strips to hang cabinets because cabinet maker can't read a tape? So I'm 1 1/4" short on my cabinets. The lowers are already installed. If I used two 5/8" drywall as strips on studs , do we think that would be ok?
Comments
i think its not ideal for hanging cabinets.. it's better to use wood for better support and stability.
