I am trying to DIY a strap clamp of sorts for woodworking and am hoping to get this style of buckle. This kind of buckle has you lift the tab in the center to insert the other end of your strap, then you tighten the strap, then you close the tab in the center. I already have 2" wide straps and want to get this style of hardware to use with them (I can get thinner straps if needed).
I have searched on Amazon to find this style of buckle on its own but I cant figure out the search terms. Best way to see this style for me is to look for straps that go over a cars roof.
I can find many straps that _have_ this hardware but not the name of this piece of hardware if I wanted to add it to my own strap.
I like this style of strap because its metal, doesnt have a fragile clip, can be done with a single piece of strap and is fairly easy to pull tight then lock. I can work with any other clip that satisfies these requirements.
