Toilet was leaking around the base. Figured i'd replace the wax ring. Lift the toilet to find the flange is busted on one side (pretty much up to the flange bore, see pictures).
Get a repair ring from Oatey, about to install it but realize there Is a sizeable gap between the repair ring of the area where the flange broke. Concerned there will be splashout onto the subfloor with each flush. (the wax ring is above the flange face, the gap is below it.
PS: can I install the flange repair kit any way I want ? the corners are dimpled in a way to indicate a top/bottom orientation, but the toilet screws "pockets" in the flange dont match the repair ring in that orientation.
And advice appreciated.
