How can I reduce sheer in this drawer design?

Post Body

I have this design for a drawer that will go under my couch and hold laundry in a hopefully elegant way. The main problem I am having is the sheer on the handle.

This will be built with 1/4" plywood and laser cut. For additional pieces I am open to hardware or techniques that use cheap materials and power tools (I do have access to a wood shop)

It is 48" wide, 29" deep, 6.5" tall.

Those beams in the center are there mostly as an experiment to prevent bowing. I do not think they will be effective as they are going to be a pain to glue securely to the base.

I am worried about the handle though. I just know when I pull it and this drawer has weight the front panel is going to bend and warp. The finger joints in all the corners will be stressed. Where could I put material or hardware to ameliorate this risk?

One thought I had I liked was if I could find a way to put a fabric strap that is fastened to the interior walls in multiple places. So I am more pulling the strap and it is attached to multiple places on the interior wall but I dont know if such hardware exists.
