Advice on building a set of bookshelves

Post Body

I need to build this set of furniture for my office, I've requested quotes for woodworkers in my area in the price is up to the ceiling. Do you have any advice on what materials I could use to build this myself? I'll use it to store my books and in the cabinet area all sorts of cables, tools, and supplies.
I've considered plywood but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it look good (I work from home and this will show up in the background of my webcam).
