Trying to install curtain rods and brackets to wall without power tools and stud finder.

Help me out please. I am planning on hanging up curtains in my bedroom but I don’t have power tools or a stud finder. I tried the other day and I’m sure that i didn’t find any studs but the screws didn’t stay in the wall
