Iād like to turn our upstairs spare bedroom into an office. As part of that Iād like to get a cable outlet up there so I can have a TV while working and put our router/modem there so itās out of the way of everything else. We also have an outlet in the living room that doesnāt work.
Iāve hired two electricians who say they do work with coax cable. They both insisted they could get the job done.
Both showed up without their ācable testing tools.ā Admittedly the wiring inside the walls appears to be a bit all over the place. One guy said he probably restored an outlet downstairs, but quite honestly I havenāt had a chance to check. Neither could figure out how the outlet in the living room is fed, so thatās still broken.
Iām out $1k.
Comcast wonāt touch anything on the interior of the house. They say thatās not their thing.
I get that it probably wonāt be a cheap job. I also didnāt think Iād have this much trouble finding someone who could give me some answers.
Do any of yāall have advice? Thanks in advance.
