Some people say it's common for people with DID to not hear their alters or switch less than once a week/month
Post Body

Who are these people? Lol. I laughed when I read that because I have daily time loss, daily flashbacks, and daily switching. I'm pretty much always co-con with at least one other alter, and they're so distant from me that I am totally cut off from their emotions, logical reasoning, and memories (although I'll occasionally "touch" them, so to speak, and it's like stepping though a waterfall into another world for just a few moments. I truly understand the idea that I have other personalities during moments like these, that see, interact with, and remember the world as a completely different place from me.) I wonder if it's because I'm polyfragmented and if less frequent switching/communication is more of a traditional DID thing. We pretty much constantly talk to each other through notes that we just leave EVERYWHERE, in google search history, every writeable surface, in random discord chats, inside of our head, we've tried to relay messages to each other through our therapist and friends before. We actually yell at ourselves outside of our head if we get really upset with ourselves. Mostly the child alters do that. It embarrasses the adult identities.
