Alters Don't Talk To Each Other Much?
Post Body

Hi all! My gf has been diagnosed with DID and I'm currently in the process of being tested officially since it seems I have the majority of the symptoms. My gf is the only person with diagnosed DID I know, and their alters are constantly talking in their head whether it's to the Host or to each other. Arguing, laughing, making jokes, sulking, etc. My potential alters don't quite do that. They interact with each other sometimes, but everybody tends to just talk to whoever's fronting or only talks if they're being referred to or talked to. Sometimes they'll pick fights with each other, but I don't think everyone even knows each other like my gf alters do and my previous therapist thinks a lot of them are still "dormant".

I'm not sure if this is normal or not and I can't ask my mental health provider because he's in the process of passing me off to someone who specializes in DID/OSDD and I don't want to ask my gf because she doesn't know I'm getting tested and she's very sensitive about people even thinking they have DID. So I thought I'd ask y'all?

Thanks in advance!
