Feeling an alter with me

In therapy today I was talking about an abusive relationship and missing good times and triggers etc and I got dissociated and disconnected more and I felt myself become young my demeanor and I felt taken over by younger alter they were really sad and missed him later on I told my therapist I feel off like a part came out and she said she definitely noticed and saw and heard her . Do any systems relate to noticing a alter switch or come out with you
