Hi, my name is hickory and I'm the host of our system.Before I start there's quite a lot to read and here are some CW's.

Sychward, religion, therapy, abuse, etc.

Lately I noticed that some parts have been fronting abit more Wich caught me off guard. About one and a half years ago most parts would front, however, it was a very negative expiereince. VERY NEGATIVE.

So basically, my mom, a heavy Christian, tried casting sertain alters out as if they were demons Wich truly scared us. She yelled at me saying that I never had D.I.D untel I came out of the sychward. Though even before I went there, there was many signs. Anywho, she wouldent talk to them, shed ignore them, etc etc.

My dad however was very kind to everyone, bought them gifts, treated them like his own, Wich was odd cause he's mentally and physically abusive and a histrionic narcasist and when we told him to keep the fronting a secret he did. Me, some parts who were co-con, my therapists, and my mom and dad all were talking and my mom was like "I don't believe that hickory has DID and I think it's just all in there head" My therapist looked at my mom like she was crazy. Take note my.mom is very kind and not usually like this but she's wierd about the diagnosis.

After that happened basically every part went dormant and some continue to mask heavily and Infront of my dad too because they've been dormant/not "vsisble" for so long that now they don't trust my dad anymore Wich is reasonable. Anywho now we have some new members in the system and some members have been completely forgotten..is it normal to be dormant for so long..?

LST: Our alters have been dormant for about one and a half years maybe two due to trauma response/not feeling comfortable and now there's new parts and some have been fronting more. Is the amount of dormant time normal?
