So adding on to this post, I wanted to ask if anyone else with DID lives a whole separate second life in their dreams. Like it’s an alternate universe of this life but completely different and your dreams about it are like you’re just being retransported to that world. Is this an inner world or maladaptive day dreaming? It’s quite disorienting waking up and having to come to terms with the fact that it wasn’t real and then sometimes thinking what if it was real and THIS life is the fake one. The people in that alternate world are all from our childhood and are not in our life anymore so waking up and coming to terms with the fact that all the connections binds and progress we made with them was all a dream is also really unsettling.
