I see so many questions on getting start in the LS and it always starts with apps, forumsâŚ. As we are fairly new and donât play often, I wanted to touch base on this subject and provide our recommendations for those new to the lifestyle.
My personal recommendation is this: Visit a Lifestyle Club!
Visiting a lifestyle club may not be what you expect it to be, at least it wasnât for us. We found the following:
It is a nice night out, most are BYOB, so bring your favorite drink with you, they also have âNewbieâ nights and will provide tours.
99.9999% of the people we met are respectful and very open an kind, we have not had a bad experience yet.
Most people there will âknowâ youâre new and they 'just know' and they usually provide you space on your first visit. There is no need to worry, club rules are very strict and there is NO pressure to do anything with anyone.
Most âOn-Premâ clubs have open and private spaces to play if that is your thing or you can watch others which is also cool. Some have pool tables, air hockey, jacuzzisâŚ. there is always something to keep you occupied even if youâre not doing anything yet.
Most clubs are laid back, easy going, no pressure and an all around nice place to just hang out. Many people there donât even âhook upâ they are there to enjoy the night.
Demographics - There are ALL walks of life at clubs and resorts in general. There are all ages, sizes, shapes, colorsâŚ.. YOU will not be out of place. Ignore the pictures you find online, not everyone is a perfect 10 like you see. It is a very diverse lifestyle and again, you will blend right in.
If youâre worried about being âfound outâ or seeing someone you might know, just think, they are there too and there is little to no judgement inside the club or lifestyle. All the people weâve met are very friendly. We choose to play outside of our living area and it is okay to travel a little bit. Delaware doesnât have many if âanyâ clubs but we avoid Philadelphia. There are clubs in nearby PA NJ and MD.
We personally like clubs because you meet people face to face, no back and forth emails with plans that fall through. We go to a club with one expectation, âA Night Outâ anything above that is just a bonus. We normally stay at a local hotel to avoid drinking and driving so we make a full nigh out of it and it has never been a boring night.
The Korral in York PA is laid back and a chill type atmosphere, very friendly with local hotels close by or you can opt to sleep in the club.
The Private Affair is in Port Deposit MD, weâve only been there once so far but planning on going back for the Halloween Party.
Feel free to ask any questions, Iâll update this thread when more things come to mind.
