Post Body

If Sergeant Rock was rebooted for the modern day American Army (similar to the New 52 version), should the writers change his rank from Master Sergeant to something like First Sergeant?

I don’t see any MSgt’s as senior company NCOs. Wouldn’t a First Sergeant be more appropriate as it’s a senior company NCO? And I know the nostalgia is of Sgt Rock in WWII being a MSgt but would it really be any big deal to add the diamond inbetween the stripes and rockers?

Full disclosure I’m not in any military branch or was ever in any branch though I’m a bit of a military history buff so I know a little about the structure of the military but obviously from the outside looking in.
