Omnibus vs TPBs (new collector)

I want to pick up Scott Snyder's New 52 Batman run, which is currently available in 10 TPBs and 2 omnibuses. Price should be roughly the same, but as a fairly new collector who has a bunch of trades but no omnibus, the latter kinda feels intimidating. Should I go with my gut instinct and pick up the trades or is the omnibus a better choice, since I see many people are passionate about collecting them.
