This is my first text post here on Reddit and I thought I might ask you guys what you think about this:
I'm beginning a graphic novel collection of the kinds of superheroes I love and already have a list of books that I know I want to read. I already own and have read Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: Year One, and The Long Halloween. Buying these, however, is the tougher task ahead of me. To make it easier, I thought I'd ask, out of this list (I'm getting there I swear), which are the most essential to own, and which I should buy first. I'm a huge Batman fan, but I'm not too picky about which heroes should come first, as I'm really just interested in reading good stories.
Here goes nothing:
- Batman: Dark Victory
- Batman: Son of the Demon
- Batman: Arkham Asylum
- Batman: Knightfall
- Batman: The Killing Joke
- Batman: A Death in the Family
- Batman: Batman & The Monster Men
- DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore
- Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters
- Green Arrow: Quiver
- Green Arrow: Year One
- Green Lantern: Green Lantern/Green Arrow Collection
- Green Lantern: Secret Origin
- Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War Vol 1 & 2
- The Flash: The Return of Barry Allen
- The Flash: Blood Will Run
- The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
- Justice League of America: Tower of Babel
- Superman: All Star Superman, Vol. 1
- Superman: Red Son
- Superman: Superman For All Seasons
- Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?
- Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
Any other suggestions based on what I've posted would be welcome as well!
