They're calling it too aggressive, and others are calling it too phallic.

Ok, as cool as it is watching an Amazon warrior swing her sword around, maybe you can make the argument that it's too aggressive. But the shield? C'mon. It's a shield. But ok, maybe it's superfluous because of those gauntlets. Calling the sword phallic though? Seems a little weird that a woman can't hold a sword without people seeing Dr. Manhattan-sized dildo wagging all around. In the original comics, all she had were the gauntlets and the lasso, which the article above calls "yonic". Sure, I appreciate classic comic reverence. But isn't this just assigning gender rolls of passivity to a woman who is supposed to be a hardcore fighter? Do I not understand Wonder Woman as well as I thought? Please discuss.
