A Plea for wonderbat (I know I am asking for it)
Post Body

In the realm of Gotham City, where shadows dance and justice wears a cowl, a love story quietly unfolds. She is not merely Batman's love interest; they are each other's beacon of affection. The most practical bond Wonder Woman and Batman could share is one that spans distances and defies conventional norms.

Imagine a relationship woven with fleeting glimpses, where they make their presence known even when absent. Constantly on the phone, their connection unyielding, never ceasing, even during the mundane moments of life like changing clothes or attending to nature's call.

Bruce, amidst his tireless crusade, finds himself unexpectedly stepping into a panel, seeking Wonder Woman's visage simply because he longs for her company. They must steal time away from their formidable duties, the Justice League, and their personal lives, as they navigate the treacherous waters of insecurities and temptations born from their enduring separation. His appearance borne out of longing, a manifestation of his yearning for her company. Their lives demanded attention, commitments pulling them in diverging directions. Yet, they carved out precious moments for each other, beyond the realms of the Justice League. Insecurities and temptations would arise, born from the constant separation they endured. Bruce, burdened with the responsibility of Gotham and his ward, would worry incessantly about Diana, but his hands were tied, unable to be by her side. And in her moments of exhaustion, after a grueling day, Diana would seek solace with Bruce, finding respite and the freedom to be vulnerable.

While Bruce frets over Diana, his hands tied by the responsibilities that bind him to Gotham and his vigilante family, she, too, seeks solace in his arms after days of tireless battles, longing for a safe space where vulnerability can be embraced.

The Robins, yearning for guidance and solace, seek out Diana, finding comfort and wisdom that Bruce, burdened with his own struggles, cannot always provide. Alfred, ever the faithful confidant, can hardly contain his excitement when Diana graces their lives with her presence during the holiday seasons. And sometimes, duty eclipses promises, leaving them with regretful absences. From halfway around the world, Diana sends thoughtful birthday gifts to the Bat Family, while Bruce's overloaded mind occasionally lets these dates slip away.

Diana's heart perpetually aches with concern for Bruce's well-being. Alfred, a dutiful butler with a penchant for meddling, keeps Diana informed of Batman's reckless tendencies, compelling her to issue countless warnings via phone.

When Batman falls prey to injuries, Diana rushes to his side, nursing him back to health while admonishing him for his recklessness. Both are willing to undertake perilous tasks to save the world, even as they silently dread the harm that may befall their beloved counterpart. Self-sacrifice, an unwavering virtue they both possess.

Though they may not always see eye to eye, they hold a deep respect for each other's choices. When one strays from the path, the other extends a hand to pull them back, as they have done on more than one occasion.

In Diana, Bruce finds a home, a sanctuary he can return to even after countless departures to save humanity time and time again. Yet, villains, cunning in their malevolence, exploit their profound attachment, tormenting Batman with reminders of his perceived inadequacy for an Amazonian warrior's love.

Similarly, criminals weaponize Bruce's playboy history, hoping to inflict emotional wounds upon Diana. It falls upon the Bat Family to bridge the divide and restore harmony after heated altercations. Diana's kin, ever wary of Bruce's mortal stature, begrudgingly learn to respect him, recognizing the unwavering determination that fuels his existence.

Picture a scenario where Wonder Woman rescues Batman from the clutches of his captors, a reversal of the classic Lois and Superman dynamic—a playful twist on fate's design.

There are moments when anger and frustration consume them, leading to bitter breakups that haunt their thoughts endlessly. But when the chips are down and the world hangs in the balance, they inevitably find their way back to each other, recognizing that their union is essential.

In the depths of Batman's brooding soul, a tinge of jealousy silently simmers, compelling him to guard his territory, while Diana warns potential suitors to keep their distance from her man.

Under

cover missions bring about misunderstandings, testing the foundation of their love. They withhold their wedding until a moment arises when Superman, a staunch advocate of their union, threatens something dear to them. For Superman, undoubtedly a devoted shipper of WonderBat, brooks no resistance.

And in the midst of it all, Damian, Bruce's ward, hesitantly opens his heart to Diana, seeking solace and understanding in her presence.

Now, DC, I shall pause my narrative here, for it has grown far lengthier than anticipated. I understand that Wonder Woman and Batman inhabit their respective comics, distinct and separate. Nevertheless, this is how WonderBat could flourish outside the confines of the DC Extended Universe—an enduring long-distance relationship that resonates with the present generation.

Their love story can embody passion, realism, relevance to contemporary times, and care. It can be angsty, filled with insecurity, brooding, darkness, and a dash of sensuality, all while remaining grounded and stable—a true reflection of Batman's essence. And let us not forget the psychological depths their pairing could explore, with Batman's controlling nature and protective tendencies, playing against Wonder Woman's unwavering spirit. Indeed, the potential for such a union is boundless.

On a lighter note, imagine Wonder Woman facing accusations of infidelity, accused of being involved with both Bruce Wayne (explicitly) and Batman (implicitly), akin to the scandals that plague popular idols. To preserve their secret love, WonderBat must hide their relationship from the prying eyes of the public, aware that the trinity of heroes cannot intertwine romantically. Oh, the comedic possibilities that would ensue!
