So I'm seeing just an absolute flood of people claiming they never did anything and mean old TLM got them executed by lord Bandai as revenge for his crimes. While I outright believe no claims that "I've never ever had any mods used on this account in any way ever and still got banned" I do believe that some of you did not consciously cheat and still were caught, since there's a couple obvious ways that can happen.

• Buying used accounts: Literally the biggest flag ever. If you care about the ToS you should never, ever buy heavily used accounts. I do not think Bandai can track account transactions, that would be intense, but note that it does violate ToS to buy and sell anyway. I've seen a lot of people claim "Well I bought this account but the guy said he didn't mod". Bad news, as someone who was a big part of the trading community for a long time, people lie for money. If you bought a used account and are now banned, I'd wager the guy you bought it from did in fact do illegitimate things and just didn't tell you. Note that duping is no longer possible, so no fresh accounts can be duped anyomre (such as DBZ.Space), but old used accounts could have been duped. There's always more risk with a heavily used old account. Especially if the price is too good to be true. If someone is selling a massively stacked account for cheap, its more than likely because they know it'll get banned if they were to use it.

• Fire Emblem Heroes devs have said they are tracking the "no root" users and emulator users for their game. While there's no indication Dokkan is doing this yet, they may have started to do so as part of their tightening of restrictions. Will require tests, hopefully Renzy or TLM can look into that when they get a chance.

• Farming services and such: Basically every farming service uses illegitimate means to farm the accounts. While I again see little indication that is sufficient, you have no idea what they're doing with your account while they have it.

The only way you can realistically claim that you were banned while 100% innocent is if:

• You rolled your account yourself

• You never modded, or duped the account

• You have never been out of possession of the account for any length of time, it has always been in your possession on a legitimate app store App.

If all of those three things are not 100% true, you cannot be 100% the account has never gone through illegitimate means. Please note that many accounts that are heavily illegitimate that have not played in either the last WT or this WT are not banned. It is not a foolproof solution, nothing is, but so far the evidence is that staying out of WT is safe for now.

If you cheat, or think someone might have cheated using your account, take the proper precautions to make sure you're as safe as possible.
