The sentiment on the subreddit seems to be "Be nice to Super 17, shit on his team for sucking" which is completely unfair. Extreme-AGL works just like all the other teams do, Super 17 is the problem and makes the team a watered down Super-AGL. It's not the easiest team with the most variety but at its peak it's fine.

That's a good team. It functions just like EX-PHY and the three super teams with 3 damage dealers and 2-3 support. The issue is that the leads of the other teams elevate their teams on their own merits too. Super Saiyan 4 Goku crits melt the universe. SSJ3 Goku has an insanely powerful SSJ3 combination with Gotenks. Cooler does that and blocks. SSJ4 Vegeta is the weakest damager, but blocks second best while still doing enough damage. Super 17 is gimmicky and while he will compare to Cooler and SSJ4 when blocking and will block better on supers that's just not enough to make up for the fact that he's asking Rose and LR 17/18 to carry him.

He's like a general sitting in the back while all four other leads go to the front lines with their teams and lead the charge. I get that people wanna defend Super 17 but don't do it at the expense of the rest of Extreme-AGL, because none of the teams issues are their fault. It's a good team.
