Anyone has the experience transitioning ITIN to SSN?

I’m getting my SSN very soon, I’ll have to request IRS to combine my ITIN tax record to the SSN. The thing is that it’ll take time for the IRS appointment and processing, idk if it’s okay to notify the credit bureaus and bank/investment accounts before IRS completing the transition.
