As a lightning sorc who went all in on stun/cc/close dmg by shotgunning enemies with charged bolts after TPing in with Raiment, this patch is a nice reward for being an anti-meta slave.

I found a Staff of Lam Esen shortly after finishing campaign (enjoyed side quests for awhile) and was able to clear both capstones at level 54 and went straight to T4 (thank you Aspect of Static Cling and Legendary node Static Surge). I’ve since switched to a 1h/off once I got Raiment for the cdr/LH and have been cruising through T4 ever since.

There’s so much Paragon power with fire bolt enchantment and CC boards that you also have infinite mana from stun locking enemies that I’m throwing a 9rank coreskill at max mana constantly with insane lightning CSD.

I’ve played with nova/vuln in the build and know it would take it further but honestly that’s too meta so I’m enjoying unstable/spears flying everywhere instead.

If you are looking for a ‘fun’ change of pace that still competes in T4, stop sleeping on lightning builds just because streamers aren’t pushing it.
