I love the druid, its class that keeps me in the game, I love the idea of being an elemental nature controlling mystic or a savage ferocious shapeshifting werebear and/or werewolf but I think we all acknowledge that its the weakest class
I was chatting with my mate last night about the druid and what, in my opinion, needs to happen to fix it and for me its the skills.
What follows is my opinion, feel free to discuss or add what you think.
Earth Spike: Simply WTF? Has anyone ever used this basic skill? Its the weakest basic skill with the same spirit generation as the rest with the lowest (query) lucky hit chance.
Lightning storm/tornado: master of nature who cant control the elements to hit immediately hit a target? I know tornado has the aspect but what does lightning storm have? If Im channeling a storm that makes me feel like I should be strong enough to make all strikes hit a target if there is only one target on the screen.
Cyclone armour: silliness, absolute silliness with how easy it is to get to resistance cap without this skill and thats without points into passive resistance boost also. An active that pushes people away? That should passively pulse every 10-15, 20 seconds ( reduced with a cyclone armour temper) and the new active should increase max resistance and resistance for 5 seconds for those high end pit dungeon runs and offer something that no other class has, better tolerances to non physical damage.
Companions: passive buff. Simple, their passive damage Vs their cooldown just doesnt make them viable and we are all using them for the core or wrath snapshot power boost and thats it. I kinda like companions but the need a massive passive boost.
Rabies: nuff said. Ive never heard of anyone ever using rabies.
Trample: has one use, spirit generation
Ulti's: I kinda like them as is but I feel lacerate can be dropped and the grizzly rage used for shapeshifting with the aspect to make it werewolf worthwhile. And drop in a companion ultimate where youre companions actives are constanly happening for 5 seconds.
Key passives: not a lot there to change I feel, havent used much earthern might so not really sure how other druids feel about it? I think the lightning key passive is weak? Is that correct?
Shout: Im not a fan of debileratinf roar or blood howl. Id like a straight damge reduction buff as a werebear active for 2-3 seconds to help mitigate big hits and id change blood howl into a skill where the enemies are distracted/dazed/feared/immoblised by a wolf pack and attack less frequent for a period of time.
If you made it this far and didnt think me a raving lunatic, let me know your thoughts.
