Returning Destiny player on PS4

I just got back into destiny but Iām currently at 970 light and idk what to do to increase my light. I grinder to get the Lunas howl and recluse. Now I wanna get the whisper of the worm and other pve exotics. Any tips on how to increase my light? My psn is ptrojan10 ( I had the name since I was little).
