Tonight I was able to cough up sputum (not in the shower) for the first time!
I posted about my fear of mucus the other week and at first I was upset at the comments. It felt like nobody cared about my phobia and weren't taking me seriously, but I had some time to realize that it was more of Tough Love from everybody.
I want to be healthier, and this is a huge part of that. I know it's going to take me a long time to be able to confidently and consistently cough up mucus, but this first step was important to me and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who told it to me straight.
I guess it's probably annoying that I'm here seeking validation, but I felt if anybody understood the small victories, you guys would. ๐
