So the super-villain turn of Scott Summers has failed pretty completely. It's his vision of mutantkind that is getting talked about while Havok's "Call me Alex" speech, though incendiary at the time, has utterly failed to catch on.
Now Marvel's strategy seems to be ignore the X-universe entirely in favor of the Avengers. The entire line seems to be moving towards a more basic morality that the X-Men does not fit into.
Is Marvel's actions with its comics line mean they are abandoning its readership in favor of pushing the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
