20m, from the UK, and very passionate about cybersecurity. I see it not only as a passion, but literally as my purpose. I am currently in my first year of study and it has a negative effect on my motivation. The lessons are of VERY low quality. Old software, old methods. Every day I have to listen to a teacher reading a text from a 5-year-old PowerPoint in broken English and with a strange accent. The course is too broad and filled with useless information.
I obtained the Network and eJPT certificates when I was 19 years old, and been PWNing HTB machines since 18 years old. I would really like to start obtaining the OSCP certificate, but with college that is simply impossible. I do have the money for it.
How hard is it to get a career in cybersecurity without a degree? For me, the best case would be to get a junior position in cybersecurity, even if it literally pays shit. Is this possible? Or should I just continue college? What do you all advise me?
