I see a lot of youtube tutorials on layering your own hair but none of them actually show anyone doing it on themselves. It's always just someone cutting a model or a mannequin, and their technique never really takes into account the difficulty of doing it in a mirror or of trying to reach spots at weird angles. Occasionally they'll throw in something like "this is going to be really difficult to do on yourself, so good luck!" but not much in the way of actual advice. So I'm wondering, has anyone actually done this successfully? Seems like it would be hard to do without making a mess
