How difficult is it to be a host/hostess at a restaurant?
Post Body

I’m looking for supplementary income & I’ve applied to several restaurants for the position of hostess. Currently I work a sedentary job and it’s also stressful. So I’m wanting something a little more active, laid back & perhaps even fun. I’m 50, I survived a year and a half at a c store in 2019/2020, on my feet 8 hours a day with fallen arches & 2 herniated discs.

On a scale of 1-10, how comparable are they in terms of physicality and is it very high pressure? It is a fairly busy restaurant but not a large one so nothing as chaotic as Texas Roadhouse (where I love to eat but would not be able to work). I probably won’t do this long, unless I just really enjoy it.
