Post Body

My ex and I are doing every other weekend right now and he sometimes misses his weekends because he’s on a vacation or just chooses not to. He’s also changed our weekends twice already. So it messes up with my work schedule because I’m off the weekends he has them, now I have to have them on my weekends working which sucks. He’s talked before about wanting 5050 but realistically I know he can’t, and it’s just not reasonable as we live about 45 mins from each other and my kids have school by me and all their afterschool activities. What I’m wanting is him getting them Thursday-Monday ( I pick up from school Monday ). So every weekend add 2 half days. I’ve talked to him about this and he just says he needs to talk to his lawyer or that he needs more time. And honestly I’m done, he makes about 70k a year, and lives with his mother. I need a break and every other weekend is not good enough for me. My kids want to see their dad and I just want them to know I’m trying. I want him to have to step up and actually be with his kids more than 4 days in the month. What’s should I do?? Do I need a layer or do I just go to the court and file up paperwork?
