I need advice on how to improve the workload
Post Body

I have been with my school district for 15 years. Out of those years I have been Head Custodian for 13 years at a middle school. This school year has been tough due to not being able to hire 2 custodial positions. We have 5 custodians that includes me. The middle school added 2 new hallways and a whole fine arts area. Making the school bigger. I have an area to clean to help out, but I want to know if anyone who works at a school district or college have a different ways of cleaning other than assigned areas? I ask that because next school year I won't be able to help clean as I will have a different work time that will have me start at 7am and not at my normal time which is 4am-2:30pm. I just want to find a different way for custodians to clean because if I can't hire for those 2 positions, the work load will be a lot for them. I was told some colleges have custodians work in groups. If you do that, how is it and how well does it work? Thank you!
