Post Body

While I doubt you guys are in here but just in case: Tisiphone, Edwin, Roarax, and Cambil. Please leave this thread. You are not meant to be here.

So I would like some assistance in trying to implement two of the backstories for my party into Curse of Strahd. Session 0 is next week and while I have two of them down and a generic source of investment for each one, which I'll go over here soon, I'd like to find how to invest the remaining two backstories into the campaign.

So this is my second time running Curse of Strahd. However, my first time running it with the MandyMod suggestions. Therefore each character at various times will have a Dark Power trying to reach out to them. Currently I have the following going on for my characters before we even start.

Our Eladrin Ranger, Tisiphone, is trying to figure out why powerful fey entities have essentially diminished greatly and has been sent by the Summer Court to address this as there is a reflection in the Feywild of their diminished strength and corrupted power happening in there, and since time is warped in an odd way within Strahd's Domain of Dread, the Fanes' diminished presence and power has only just surfaced in the feywild. This is in regard to the three Fanes in Barovia that Strahd desecrated and stole their power. Tisiphone is has half the soul of Tatyana, while the other half is within Ireena. Finally, the Dark Power that is going to try to tempt her is Vaund the Evasive to fit with her feywild and ranger abilities.

Next is our Dragonborn Barbarian, Cambil. Coming from a Knight of the Order, my immediate desire is to tie his order to the Order of the Silver Dragon. This works in well twice over as he has very strong disdain for dragons due to their history of being essentially a slave race. So learning that his own Order is basically a descendant of one led by a dragon of any type would give interesting play. The Dark Power that's trying to tempt him is Zrin-Hala, the Howling Storm, which works well since Cambil is a Blue Dragonborn.

Now for the two I'm having issues trying to implement.

Our Lizardfolk Cleric of Life, Roarax. An older androgynous Lizardfolk who is on, within their backstory, one of their three journey's of independence (one at youth, one at mid-life, and one of seniority) to prove they are capable of surviving in the world outside of their own insular society. They are a follower of Semuanya, the Lizardfolk deity of survival (hence the life domain choice). Currently, I just have their tempted Dark Power, who is going to be Dahlver-Nar, He of Many Teeth, to essentially try to pose as Semuanya to corrupt them. But that's currently all I have for them.

Finally, Edwin. A Halfling Voidwalker Sorcerer (homebrew). A kind of arrogant and ignorant of the ways kind of guy, who has very little life experience due to the fact that he was raised in a noble house. But after an incident where Edwin, comfortable with his lax lifestyle, got into an argument with his father and as a result his abilities surfaced and burned down the vineyard of their noble house. Thus, for this he has been casted off by his family. Currently all I have for his character is his tempted Dark Power, which is Shami-Amourae, The Lady of Delight, which would work well due to him trying to always wanting to take it easy.

Any additional advice or suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.
