So my players were returning to Krezk but now a bunch of them had accepted a Dark Power. Given the cautious nature of the people of Krezk the party was denied entry.

Up till this point the party had been on the good side of things but that was about to change.

They tried talking to a bush about a way to get in but since it’s just a bush it didn’t know anything. But it did request that the party tell others to not piss on the plants.

After looking around for a minute they found Esmerelda’s’ wagon parked against one of the outer walls. You know where I’m going with this. A failed slight of hand check later and kaboom! Most of the party was down. While unconscious the Gnome accepted a Dark gift and was back up with a new set of Orc tusks.

The party was now surrounded by guards. They were going to be arrested when the speedy monk ran away leaving everyone else behind to go to jail.

While in jail the party wasted no time to break out. The barbarian managed to punch open the poorly crafted jail doors. The lone guard was persuaded to go home. Then when two more guards showed up, the Druid turned into a bear and the Tabaxi (which had a dark gift from a spider) intimidated the guards. The guards wet themselves and ran off.

Meanwhile the Monk snuck up to the front gate and… set the wall on fire. He then ran back to the massive hole where the cart exploded and snuck in.

Soon enough the guards were in a panic and the flames got out of control.

I the DM did not expect any of this from my players.
